New Protocols in Place for Iowa Legislature
The Iowa Legislature will start its session on Monday, January 11, 2021, but will be taking precautions to ensure the safety of legislators, staff, and visitors. While masks will not be required, they will be available to anyone entering the Capitol building and visitors will be checked for fevers. Hand sanitizers will be stationed throughout the Capitol, and meetings will have a live-stream option to encourage people to stay home. Read more here. (attaching the PDF separately).

-
Contact your legislators through email, phone, or social media.
-
Consider a virtual site tour.
-
Plan a telephone town hall with those representing you in the county courthouse, State Legislature, or Congress.
-
Use your smartphone to make a video testimonial to send to your legislator. Get tips on telling your story here.
-
Make an Insta-Story using Instagram to share with your elected officials.
