State Senator Bousselot Ends Re-Election Campaign
State Senator Mike Bousselot (R-Ankeny) announced today that he is ending his campaign for re-election to Senate District 23. Sen. Bousselot has accepted a private sector job that makes serving in the Senate difficult. Republicans in the district have nominated Congressman Nunn's Deputy Chief of Staff Wes Enos to replace Bousselot on the ballot. Tony Thompson, an Elkhart farmer, is running as the Democrat. S
Sen. Bousselot held leadership positions on two powerful committees - Commerce (Chair) and Infrastructure Budget (Vice Chair). Bousselot previously served as Chief of Staff to Governor Terry Branstad and was appointed by Governor Kim Reynolds as the Director of the Iowa Department of Management.
